Textile processing
- Pre-treatment
All textiles fibres, be they natural or synthetic
require various physical and chemical treatment to
convert them into textile garments or carpets suitable
for use by the consumer. The first stage in this process
is to clean the fibres (scouring or pre-treatment),
natural fibres require more cleaning than synthetic
fibres as natural fibres such as cotton contain waxes
etc which must be removed prior to any processing.
In the case of wool, some wools will contain up to
45% of its own weight of contaminants.

Poor pre-treatment can give rise to many down- stream
problems and BIP has a range of cost effective pre-treatment
formulations, which have been specifically, developed
to give consistent results under a wide range of conditions.
BIP can also provide on the design of pre-treatment systems
to reduce process time and water consumption. |
